The long history of the first French-Canadian paper company

In 1882, the first French-Canadian paper company was established in Saint-Jérôme, Quebec. In the new online project Rolland: The First French-Canadian Paper Company in Canada, Histoire et Archives Laurentides, which preserves the company’s archival holdings, brings to life this unique story by giving voice to the founding members and the mill workers.
