The story of Japanese-Canadian internment and dispossession

17 March 2021

Kudos to the Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre for the launch of Writing Wrongs: Japanese-Canadian Protest Letters of the 1940s. Using a creative approach in combining archival photographs, modern images and videos, this new project supported by DMC brings to life the stories of Japanese-Canadian internment and dispossession during the Second World War. Writing Wrongs is based on a collection of more than 300 letters of protest — all accessible to users.
