Exploring the lives of women who have shaped the Sooke Region

From historical figures to present-day activists and civic leaders, Women of the Sooke Region explores the stories, challenges and triumphs of women in this small Vancouver Island community. Through objects, archival photographs and writings, this new project by the Sooke Region Museum and Visitor Centre features moving and thought-provoking encounters with the women who helped build Sooke in the past, as well as those who are helping to shape its future.
