English, French, Atikamekw: A First for Community Stories!

We’re pleased to share news of the release of the first trilingual Community Story.
Originally launched in 2019, Astonishing stories: Fishing in La Mauricie was created by the Association des pourvoiries de la Mauricie, in collaboration with Ville de La Tuque and the Conseil de la Nation Atikamekw. In addition to English and French, you can now explore the exhibition in Atikamekw!
“Digital Museums Canada (DMC) is thrilled to have supported a Community Stories project in a third language, Atikamekw,” said Leah Resnick, Director of Digital Museums Canada. “The preservation of Indigenous languages is critically important and DMC encourages collaborations like these in the future.”
