Explore the fascinating life of Isabella Hardisty (1861–1936) — a spirited Métis girl from a fur-trading post in the North, who went on to become Lady Lougheed. The forward-thinking Isabella involved herself in politics, the economy, the arts, and humanitarian causes. Although she was one of Calgary’s best-loved and most respected citizen, much of her life remained a mystery. This exhibit sheds light on her story through the voices of those who knew her.
